BERNIE Taylor makes a major decision after brother Keanu’s body is found in heartbreaking EastEnders scenes.

The character - played by Clair Norris - has had no family around her ever since mum Karen fled Walford with Mitch and her younger siblings before Christmas.

The only person she had left was her brother, Keanu, but she thought he'd left her too after going missing following the drama of his Christmas Day wedding to Sharon Watts.

Little did Bernie know, Keanu was actually killed in the Queen Vic by Linda Carter after he started to strangle Sharon, and 'The Six' ended up burying his body under the floor of the cafe.

However, in scenes airing this week, the cafe floor collapses and Keanu's body is found, revealing the devastating truth to Bernie.

Coming up in EastEnders next week, the gossip mill continues as the residents of Albert Square rally around Bernie in her hour of need.

Phil speaks up in defence of Sharon following her arrest, which leads Felix to point the finger at Phil, but as things get heated, Kat arrives.

Later, Phil is given food for thought following a conversation with his estranged wife, and makes an offer to Denise when he overhears a conversation between her and Stacey.

Meanwhile, Bernie leaves Walford to visit Karen in Spain and inform her of Keanu’s death. 

Karen had returned to Walford earlier this year in a bid to find out what had happened to her son after she failed to hear from him.

However, The Six managed to convince her to leave the Square for good, despite her starting to suspect something was amiss.

But it hasn't stopped EastEnders fans from hoping Karen will return following the devastating news Keanu is dead.

Taking to X - formerly Twitter - one wrote: "Yay #TheSix hopefully all arrested by Thursday with returning Karen and Bernie demanding blood."

Another added: "Karen better be coming back. She came back when she thought Keanu was missing + was already suspicious the 6 were hiding something.

"She'd never stay away finding out he was dead + had been found buried under the caff. She'd be back to raise hell."

A third tweeted: "why can't the six just say Keanu must've snuck back to the square at night and nish murdered Keanu.. it's his caff after all so he's the responsible one also I think karen will return again for short stint when the body is found or at his funeral."
