BBC presenter Gregg Wallace has revealed the bizarre reason why he enjoys rewatching every episode of MasterChef.
Since 2005, the 59-year-old has co-presented MasterChef, Celebrity MasterChef, and MasterChef: The Professionals on the BBC with John Torode.
With Masterchef approaching its 20-year anniversary on screens, Gregg has admitted he dislikes missing any episodes because they help him assess his outfit choices over time.
The TV personality said: “I watch because I want to look at what shirts look better than others – there are some outfits I’m not wearing again.”
His co-host John told ! that even though he only watches the ‘occasional’ episode, his family thoroughly enjoys watching most of them.
He added: “So, I usually hear my voice and see various things.”

After nearly two decades of fronting Masterchef, John joked that he spotted a change in his appearance, though he didn’t like to spend too much time pondering it.
He continued: “I went grey.”
Gregg interrupted and said: “And I would have gone grey if I had hair!’
Last year, the BBC host also shared that he liked to start each day by Googling himself.

During an Instagram live, Gregg said he checked Google Alerts each morning to see what stories about him had popped up overnight.
He explained: “I’ve got a mug of coffee with me, I’m going to be off to the gym in about five minutes to get there for six o’clock.”
Speaking about his morning routine with his followers, he said: “I get up in the morning, straight in the shower, and then I check my texts, my emails, I check my Insta account – this is modern living, right.’
“Then I go onto Google Alerts to see what Gregg Wallace stories may have happened overnight,” he joked.
He also shared that he believed the routine was ‘part of modern life’ and thought ‘we all probably do the same’.
MasterChef is streaming on BBC iPlayer.
