IT'S A Sin star Lydia West has revealed that she's a mum after her secret pregnancy.

The 30-year-old, who plays Jill Baxter in the Channel 4 show, shared in a recent interview that she's recently given birth.

The actress apologised to if they could hear "snuffling" in the background during the chat.

Lydia told the publication: "I'm sitting here with my newborn. I've just had a baby."

Since shooting to fame in 2019 on BBC One's Years and Years, her life has now totally changed.

Lydia confessed: "Life is so different now.

"The baby’s just sleeping on me at the moment.

"With work, It’s A Sin changed everything career-wise for me – it was such an impactful project, in terms of my attitude to work and what I look for in roles."

The new mum has landed roles in a number of different shows.

Lydia has appeared in Dracula, It's a Sin, Suspicion, The Pentaverate, Inside Man and Gray.

Her film credits include Love Again and Coffee Wars.

Back in 2021 the star won Best Actress at the Monte-Carol Television Festival for her work in It's a Sin.

Lydia is most known for her role in It's a Sin.

The drama, written by Russell T Davies, follows the lives of a group of gay men living in London during the HIV/Aids crisis between 1981 and 1991.

The five-episode series hit our screens in 2021.

Lydia previously opened up about how much she enjoyed being part of the cast, as well as working on the show.

Previously speaking to The Guardian, Lydia said: "It was mind-boggling.

"The whole year was a bit of a blur; being recognised as a Bafta Breakthrough Brit was a highlight, though.

"It’s not often you can say you’ve been part of a project that’s both entertaining and educational.

"Personally, I did extensive research, and got into HIV and Aids activism. That’s a role I don’t take lightly.

"What happened in the 80s can feel like a distant part of history, but it was less than 40 years ago.

"We can still learn a lot from it, and remember and honour those that we lost during the fight."
