Coronation Street’s Rovers Return gets a shock new boss after explosive twist
CARLA Connor has made a shocking discovery about stepmother Jenny in tonight’s Coronation Street - and taken control of the Rovers Return pub.
The businesswoman - who is played by actress Alison King in the ITV soap - has been seen getting suspicious of Jenny’s financial good fortune over the last few months.
But this week when Bethany Platt worked out that Daisy had accessed Stephen Reid’s accounts and taken the money he stole from Carla, she questioned Jenny about it.
As Carla told Jenny she would get the truth out of Bethany herself, it pushed her over the edge.
“No don’t, I’m sorry, we were always going to pay it back,” Jenny blurted out.
And it didn’t take long for Jenny to throw Daisy under the bus and insist it was all her.

“I should never have listened to her, I was just so desperate to save the Rovers,” she said.
Carla thundered back: “And screw everyone else? That was my money.”
Jenny broke down and said: “I promise you we will pay you back every penny. I wasn’t in my right mind, Carla.”
But Carla was on a role and stormed into the Rovers in a fury, threatening to expose Daisy publicly - and dragging her and Ryan into the back room.

Furious she let rip at the women for stealing her £247k - and laughed off their insistence they would pay it back at £500 a month.
“That’s over 40 years, I could blow the last instalment on a mobility scooter,” she said.
Jenny then continued to insist Daisy was to blame as Carla told them she was going to the police with Ryan going with her.
And he did all he could to convince her to change her mind - successfully when he told her he was in love with Daisy.
The relief for the two women was short-lived though as Carla sacked Daisy and laid out her terms for Jenny.
“Until you two pay me back every single penny, this place is mine,” she told them.
