‘So over it!’ rage EastEnders fans as they blast ‘pointless’ Sonia and Reiss storyline – begging bosses ‘ditch it!’
Fans fume the storyline has been "going on far too long"
EASTENDERS fans are all saying the same thing about Sonia Fowler and Reiss Clowell’s IVF storyline.
The nurse – played by Natalie Cassidy – received devastating news during her scan before the embryo transfer in hospital.
The doctors informed her that her uterus lining isn’t as thick as they would like it which makes an embryo unlikely to stick.
The news rocked Sonia but Reiss (Jonny Freeman) remained hopeful that it will still work.
As they endure yet another setback, viewers are sick of feeling depressed and beg BBC producers to axe the storyline.
Taking to X – formally known as Twitter – one viewer said: “I am so over this Sonia and Reiss storyline.”
Another wrote: “Sonia and Reiss, god, they’re boring. This IVF plot is boring. Ditch it.”
A third penned: “This Sonia and Reiss storyline needs to hurry up and reach some sort of conclusion it’s being going on far too long.”
Meanwhile, some fans are predicting a lesbian love affair twist for Sonia and Reiss’ wife Debbie.
Reiss’ wife was hospitalised in a long-term coma after suffering a stroke in the bath.
At first, Sonia was taken aback by dating a technically married man, but she soon changed her mind.
Viewers know Reiss stole money from Debbie’s bank account -something he failed to tell Sonia about.
Could Reiss go down for theft and leave Sonia to raise their baby alone – or with Debbie if she wakes up?
One fan theorised: “The IVF works, Sonia is pregnant. Reiss’ wife wakes up, tells the police that Reiss put her in the hospital. Reiss is arrested and Sonia raises his baby with his wife.”
Another added: “Omg I forgot Sonia is bi. But if she and Reiss’ wife ended up together I’d love it hahaha.”
A third penned: “I’ve been saying for months It would be so interesting if Sonia ended up really liking Debbie better than Reiss and they dump him.”
EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
