CORONATION Street star Lucy Fallon has bagged a "huge" new storyline after her shock soap return.
The Bethany Platt actress - who took time away from the ITV programme for personal projects and to give birth to her son - reprised her role late last year.
Manchester lass Lucy, 28, stepped back onto the cobbles set in October and has now teased her biggest storyline yet.
She told it would be "huge" - cementing her status on the show after her three-year absence from 2020 to 2023.
Lucy said: "Bethany's involved in the storyline surrounding Lauren's disappearance, but there's another huge plot coming up for her that we haven't started filming.
"I'm really excited."

The screen star was referring to Lauren Boulton's disappearance from her flat last month.
The character - played by Cait Fitton - disappeared after receiving a shock visitor at her flat.
Since then her former boss and Roy's Rolls owner Roy Cropper, played by David Neilsen, has been arrested for her murder.
It remains to be seen how the plot plays out - and what Bethany's role in the follow-up is.

COBBLES EXIT
Lucy's character Bethany left Weatherfield in 2020 after getting a job offer from a fashion company in London.
Before her exit, Daniel proposed to her with his late wife Sinead Connor's ring and Bethany realised he wasn't over her death.
She said her goodbyes to Daniel, Bertie and her family in tear-jerking scenes.
Talking of her comeback last year, Corrie boss Iain Macleod teased: "So Bethany’s back and we’re all fantastically excited to have her back, she’s incredibly well liked around the building, the viewers love her.
"She’s a slightly different proposition now from when we last saw her - there’s been a number of years that have elapsed, she’s grown up quite a lot, she’s had the beginnings of a successful journalism career in London and she turns back up and is instantly a foe for Daisy.
"They’re very evenly matched now - Bethany might once have seemed like a younger woman or a girl, she’s very much more a woman now, more on Daisy’s level - so it’s a really heavyweight tussle between these two women, which I’m really looking forward to seeing more of."
MUM-SHAMED
Off-screen, the star was cruelly mum-shamed during her Easter celebrations with son Sonny.
Lucy faced criticism for letting the adorable youngster eat a large Easter egg despite only being 15 months old.
He looked thrilled with the supersized egg as he bit into it but one of her followers was seriously unhappy with the snap.
The disgruntled fan said: "Bit young for Easter eggs!"
They then quipped: "Too young for such. A future dentist's dream!"

In happier news, she also dropped a huge hint her footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson, 26, had proposed.
Lucy suggested he had popped the question while filming brand new ITV reality show Drama Queens.
