It comes as Jon recently revealed why he had been off air for an entire week
BBC BREAKFAST fans were left worried for two stars after they appeared on screen with ‘croaky’ voices.
The flagship Beeb programme was back on air with Jon Kay and Sally Nugent at the helm.
Both presenters both viewers the latest news from across the country while Nina Warhurst was on business duties.
Carol Kirkwood also stunned as she talked viewers through the weather forecast.
However, fans were left concerned for Jon, 54, and Carol, 61, as they appeared to have sore throats.
Both stars seemed to struggle at times to get their words out prompting viewers to worry.
Taking to social media, one BBC Breakfast fan said: “Jon sounding a bit rough there.”
A second wrote: “Someone get Jon Kay some Strepsils.”
Carol previously joked about her voice being ‘ropey’ during a live exchange with Jon yesterday.
As her bulletin came to an end, he remarked: “Carol, I know you’ll be keeping an eye on that [Storm Kathleen], and well done – we’ve got to the end of Breakfast and your voice has survived. It’s an achievement – go and rest.”
Carol replied: “I hope it hangs on for tomorrow as well.”
