Beyond Paradise star ‘so sorry’ as she reveals BBC finale twist during Morning Live interview

BEYOND Paradise star Barbara Flynn apologised on Morning Live today for 'spoiling' a clip ahead of the show's finale.

The 75-year-old actress, who plays Anne Lloyd in the drama, appeared on the BBC daytime show for a chitchat with hosts Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton.

During the sit-down, Barbara, with a hint of excitement, teased what was to come on the series finale of Beyond Paradise.

While explaining that the sixth episode has now concluded, she revealed that there is still much to unfold.

She explained: "We've got to know the characters over the episodes of the second series, and lots has happened.

"Anne, my character, has been on a journey of dating, online dating, which has been extraordinary with the help of a new character called Zoe."

Barbara added: "She helps Anne through this difficulty of all the technical stuff, which was enormous fun."

Gethin explained that in a previous clip they had seen, Melina Sinadinou, who plays Zoe, clarified what 'ghosting' was, which Barbara giggled at before issuing an apology.

She said: "Was I talking over it? I'm so sorry if I was", before adding: "Yes, it was a journey for her, especially after the loss of her husband after so many years.”

Barbara then continued teasing what the dating scene meant for her character as she 'spoiled' what was to come in the forthcoming season.

She said: "In the last episode, things come to a bit of a head because, you know, there's a wedding to plan, and so there's a lot to do, and she throws herself into it."

The second series synopsis reads: “Shipton Abbott continues to keep DI Humphrey Goodman and his team busy, with a baffling new crime each episode. 

“From a death on a steam train to a missing teacher, the team have their work cut out. 

“Even more so with Police HQ’s threat of the local station house closure hanging over them – the pressure is on to get results.

“Meanwhile, Humphrey and Martha’s journey to find their own version of a family continues as they explore the possibility of fostering. 

“Martha’s mother, Anne, throws herself into the world of online dating, and a well-meant gesture from Esther’s daughter, Zoe threatens to uncover a long-held secret…”

BBC’s Beyond Paradise is one of the spin-off series of beloved detective show Death in Paradise. 

The show started last year and has been a hit since. 

Beyond Paradise concludes at 8pm on BBC1.
