Amanda, 53, and Alan, 47, bought an abandoned farmhouse for just €1 which worked out at 85p.

They were able to snap up the property as part of a local scheme to help repopulate rural Tuscany.

Fans were left stunned by the finished result as they brought life back into the incredible property.

The par managed to maintain some of the farmhouse's original features such as wooden beams and tiles.

And now their efforts have paid off as it's been revealed the abode has sold after two months on the market.

It was snapped up for an incredible €187,777 which is just over £165,500.

And in wholesome news all proceeds from the sale will go directly to Children In Need and Comic Relief.

Amanda and Alan will have their efforts forever remembered after fittingly naming the house Alamanda II.

Local help

During the show viewers watched as Amanda and Alan - who are best pals in real life - get an undisclosed budget for their renovations.

They also enlisted the help of local tradesmen, including a project manager to keep things on track.

But before any makeover could take place the TV stars had to roll up their sleeves and clear years worth of rubbish and abandoned junk from the abode.

During the first series Holden and Carr renovated a two-bedroom, two-bathroom renovated.

Their efforts in bringing the dilapidated house back up to scratch resulted in Children in Need receiving over £100,000 from the sale.

Meanwhile, The Sun previously revealed how the pals will be back for a third series.

However, the show might need to be renamed as Alan has ruled out a return to Italy.

He said: “We’ve loved making two series of Amanda & Alan’s Italian Job, but we’re not doing a third there — we’ve done enough Italy now.

“I had a great time performing stand-up in Lisbon recently, so maybe the plan could be to restore a house in Portugal.”
