SLING YER HOOK!

Baby Reindeer’s ‘real pub’ in Camden furious at Netflix fame telling fans ‘go away’

The real life Martha has hit out at the show

THE pub where Baby Reindeer’s Richard Gadd worked in real life is telling fans of the show to clear off.

Staff at the boozer in Camden, London, appeared fed up with the attention after the Netflix series went viral.

Liam Gallagher, Kate Moss and the late Amy Winehouse were regulars to The Hawley Arms in the noughties.

Nowadays rocker Yungblud can be seen ordering at the famous bar.

And the new show, about a barman and his stalker, has brought the hipster tavern to a new generation of drinkers.

But don’t expect staff to roll out the red carpet for Baby Reindeer fans.

One disappointed viewer told The Sun: “I went in there after being gripped by the series and was hoping for a friendly chat about Baby Reindeer.

“It seems they’re sick of the attention and people turning up asking about it. Things turned frosty when I mentioned it and they said it had nothing to do with them.

“I ordered a coke and a cup of tea like Martha does in the show.

“It came to £6.40. No wonder she couldn’t afford it!”

In the series barman Donny (played by writer Richard) gets into a brawl with lonely Martha after she smashes a bottle over his head while he’s pulling a pint.

Martha is eventually barred, but only following months of daily visits to the pub, and sending thousands of emails to harass Donny.

Then a struggling comedian, Donny crosses paths with the ex lawyer when she walks in tearful and saying she can’t afford to pay for a drink.

The sympathetic bartender offers her a cup of tea on the house – sealing her obsession with him and his fate.

Renamed ‘The Heart’ in the show, the creepy scenes were actually filmed in Edinburgh.

But, fans tracked down Richard’s old work place, and it is famed for being a favourite establishment of legendary Amy in North London’s trendy Camden Market.

She was last photographed at the Hawley a year before her death in 2011.

True story

Last week, the woman accused of being the real life Martha insisted: “I am the victim here.”

She spoke to  and told how she had received death threats from Baby Reindeer fans.

She said: “I’m the victim here, not Richard Gadd.

“I’ve had death threats as a result of his show despite the fact that a lot of the things he claimed are just not true.

“Someone online said, ‘If I find you I will kill you’. A guy in North Carolina said that he and other people were going to stalk me
like I am supposed to have stalked Gadd.

“I got two hours’ sleep last night. I thought, what if his supporters really do things like that?”
