Pregnant Megan McKenna in hospital dash after suffering second allergic reaction in two weeks

PREGNANT Megan McKenna has been rushed to hospital for the second time in two weeks.

The popular reality TV star, 31, is expecting her first child with fiance Oliver Burke but was forced to take a trip to hospital after another medical emergency.

Megan took to Instagram to address her social media absence as she informed fans that she had been "unwell" after another allergic reaction.

It forced Megan to be rushed to Birmingham City Hospital where she recieved treatment after her tongue and neck had become swollen.

Detailing her scary experience, the star wrote on Instagram: "Sorry I've been quiet I've been really unwell, I have an abscess which has been the most painful thing I've ever experienced & I've had an allergic reaction to a medication I took for it.

"It all lead to bad swelling in and under my tongue & neck which has been scary.

"I can't thank Birmingham City Hospital enough and the ambulance service for taking care of me this morning.

"The care I received was amazing."

Megan went on to detail how she had been administered some new medication in order to help with her new reaction.

Her disappearance from social media had sparked concern with the former Ex On The Beach star revealing a number of worried fans had been messaging her to see if she was okay.

Megan added: "I wanted to get back to your DMs as I know some of you have been worried about me.

"Thank you for checking in on me."

It isn't the first medical panic that Megan has had during her pregnancy.

Two weeks ago, Megan revealed she'd had a bad reaction to medication she'd been given and needed to be looked after.

Megan explained her stomach doubled in size and revealed she was terrified about how it would affect her unborn baby.

Shortly before that, Megan also posted an Instagram Live - where she's taken to sharing the easy-to-cook recipes she makes for her and Oliver - to explain she'd also contracted a nasty UTI.

She continued: "My body is hypersensitive and it is more scarier having that because I worry about it affecting the baby but after speaking to the doctors at the hospital they said it can't actually affect the baby having an allergic reaction. 

"So that's why I haven't been on here but I feel so much better and I'll be back cooking my dinners for everyone."

The baby comes after a whirlwind romance with Oliver, who got down on one knee on June 14 of last year while they holidayed in Montenegro after just five months of dating.
