Eurovision fans left furious as they are ‘tricked’ into thinking Abba would perform
Abba was the song contest's biggest success story
EUROVISION fans felt cheated by the song contest after the hosts tricked them into thinking Abba would perform.
Taking place in the band’s home country, there were high hopes that they were going to make a surprise appearance.
Whilst the band have consistently refused to reunite, some fans have never given up hope.
In tonight’s Eurovision finals Petra Mede and Malin Akerman dropped huge hints that a Swedish band would be taking to the stage.
But in a cruel twist, they announced that Alcazar would be performing instead, and fans were not amused.
“Not me thinking ABBA were gonna perform #Eurovision”, one wrote.
“Oh wow they guilt tripped us thinking ABBA was going to perform,” said a second.
