Ghost Ship by Steve Beck is not an especially famous film, but according to , it is the one with the most memorable start.

The nautical horror even beat Scream, It, and Jaws to the punch.

It follows a marine salvage crew as they find an ocean liner that disappeared decades ago.

While they are scoping out the MS Antonia Graza, their own tug boat explodes, leaving them stranded on the ghost ship.

They are then forced to confront the catastrophe that happened on board, leaving nearly all the passengers dead.

But viewers already know what happened to the people who were originally on the ship.

During the opening sequence they are shown laughing and partying as a live singer performs on stage.

In the shadows an anonymous person is seen sabotaging some of the ship's equipment.

Suddenly, a metal cable snaps and whips through the dance floor, slicing into passengers.

Only one girl is not dissected during the incident, and she is left screaming as she looks around in horror to see everyone else lying on the floor a bloody chopped up heap.
