Who was Reena Virk?
Reena Virk went missing from Saanich in British Columbia when she was just in her early teens.
Her father, Manjit Virk, emigrated to Canada from India.
She had a troubled relationship with her parents and lived in a foster home at the time, states.
According to CBC News, she had ran away from home multiple times and falsely accused her father of sexual abuse so she could stay at a group home.
However, she later recanted the statement and kept in touch with her parents.
What happened to Reena Virk?
On November 14, 1997, Reena was invited to a party under the Gorge Waterway bridge by her friend Nicole Cook.
A group of six other teenages attended the event - who have since been nicknamed the Shoreline Six.
According to the TV program “Bloodlust Under the Bridge,” Reena was confronted by Cook at the party about spreading rumors.

Reena called her a “b*tch” which made Cook put a cigarette out on her forehead.
Cook and Missy Grace Pleich said that Cook’s best friend, Kelly Ellard, and Pleich both started to attack Reena.
Then the rest of the group, including Warren Glowatski, joined in.
Reena managed to get away until Ellard and Glowatski followed her, attacked her, and dragged her into water.
Ellard held Reena underwater until she drowned.
A coroner's report indicated that Reena sustained multiple blows throughout her body and suffered a "convulsion injury as often seen in car crash victims."
Her body was found on November 22, 1997, eight days after she was tragically killed.
What was Warren Glowatski's involvement in Reena Virk's murder?
Both Ellard and Glowatski were accused of holding Reena's head underwater and drowning her, though both denied the allegations.
Glowatski told the police that he only kicked Reena.
He claimed that Ellard drowned her while he stood by helplessly.
Glowatski was convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.
He was also sentenced to no chance of parole for seven years.
Ellard was convicted of second-degree murder on November 9, 2000.
She was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of full parole for five years.
Where is Warren Glowatski now?
On July 20, 2006, Glowatski was granted unescorted temporary passes by the .
He was officially released on parole on June 23, 2010.
It is unknown what Glowatski does now or where he - Ellard remains in jail.
