Matthew showed off his freshly buzzed haircut while Buster's floppy 'do was the total opposite.

The 44-year-old actor left Emmerdale and his role as David Metcalfe last year after nearly two decades.

He said: "It has been a massive part of my life. I'm just so grateful."

Matthew's now stepped into the podcast arena with fellow soap favourite Roxy Shahidi, 41.

Roxy, who plays Leyla Harding in the Dales, starred in Dancing on Ice this year and is currently on screens in ITV's fly on the wall show Drama Queens.

The duo launched the aptly titled Celebrity Side Hustle with their first guest, Emmerdale star and novelist Jessie Elland.

It proved a success with one listener writing: "That was brilliant, it was so relaxed and you could get a real sense of the fun you were having."

Another said: "This is amazing well done guys xx."

A third wrote: "Love this..everyone should have a side hustle!"

The promotional podcast posts were the first content Matthew has uploaded to his Instagram grid since the festive season and his stint in Elf The Musical.

It was Matthew's first role since upheaval in his professional and personal lives.

In November Matthew and wife Charley Webb announced their shocking split via social media.

At the time, they both released a joint statement on Instagram insisting they would remain friends.

Charley's version read: "It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate. We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake we would appreciate privacy at this time."
