All Stars’ Adam Maxted finally breaks his silence on Arabella Chi split – and admits they were ‘never a proper couple’
LOVE Island star Adam Maxted has insisted that he and Arabella Chi were "never a couple".
The pair split five weeks after leaving the villa after they were booted off the show ahead of the final.
Adam, 32, finally broke his silence on their split after joining Anton Danyluk on his What's the Crack podcast.
Fellow Islander Anton asked what happened between Adam and Arabella and what caused the split.
"I can't even call it a break up because we weren't officially together. The public put a lot of pressure on your situation, your couple - we never announced that we were boyfriend and girlfriend," Adam explained.
"I knew Arabella like nine days, 10 days, nothing in there is fake, I vibed with her and I can't fake that stuff."

"I think we were just at different stages in life. She'd just come out of a high-profile relationship and I remember saying to her: 'I think you need to go and figure out what it is you want to do and heal from that as well'".
Prior to her time on the show Arabella dated Manchester City footballer Rueben Dias.
Despite applying for Love Island, Adam admitted that he was more focused on "capitalising" from the show.
"Coming off the show I've got a chance to try and capitalise on things, what is it that I want to do? We did get on good, but a relationship wasn't priority for me."
Arabella had a very rocky road on Love Island All Stars but finally found a partner when Adam entered as a bombshell.
They were unhappy when they got the boot, with Adam saying: "It seems that we've been judged on the time we've had, rather than our connection."
Speaking about her time on the show, Arabella said: "At times I thought in the villa, 'How am I being as unlucky in love in here as outside?'
"But when Adam walked through the door finally my luck changed. I am now lucky in love!”
She added: “Of course I am sad not to make the final.
“But I was instantly attracted to Adam, we couldn’t stop staring at each other."
Since their split, Adam was rumoured to have struck up a romance with Liberty Poole, 24.
The pair were seen getting very cosy during a night out in Manchester and ended up going back to Adam's new apartment.
Liberty was seen leaving his pad in the morning - sending fans not a frenzy that romance could be on the cards.

Anton Danyluk and Georgia Harrison
Fans had hoped the popular pair would stand the test of time but just weeks after leaving the villa they called it a day.
Distance was said to be a factor with 400miles between their homes in Essex and Aidrie, Scotland, respectively.
But today Anton set the record straight on the What's The Crack? podcast with his mum Sherrie-Ann.
He said: “I just don’t think there was really that romantic spark there. We did both try. At times it was there but just not enough for it to continue as a relationship.”
Jess Gale and Callum Jones
The fourth placed finishers always faced on uphill battle given many watching the latest series wanted Callum to reunite with his ex Molly Smith.
The fireworks from the Boohoo party row put an end to the romance before it really got off the floor.
Arabella Chi and Adam Maxted
This visually striking pairing bloomed late in the series. Despite forming a close bond in the villa, the couple quickly went cold in the real world.
Wrestler Adam was based in Northern Ireland while model Arabella moved into a new pad in London. Even though Adam revealed he was moving to Manchester, it wasn't enough to save them.
They vowed to remain good friends and split on good terms.
Luis Morrison and Demi Jones
In another case of distance getting in the way, Luis admitted the 240 miles between Manchester and Portsmouth was just too much.
He told The Sun: “Me and Demi aren't together, but she was a huge part of my Love Island experience and she is one of the most loveliest, most beautiful girls I've ever met.
“The connection was definitely there when leaving the villa too.
"But the distance was a killer for us both and wouldn't of worked as we are both at different parts of the country, we both have really busy schedules coming off love island too.”
Adam lifted the lid on their budding relationship, admitting he would love to date her.
He told us: “Me and Liberty get on really good. I think she is such a genuine girl, really authentic, wears her heart on herself, if you watch her content, you know she is all about being vulnerable, saying things how they are and those are all really admiral qualities in someone.
“I am obviously really physically attracted to her as well. We haven’t actually planned a date, we have been talking about it, but I am just very busy getting settled in Manchester, working on things and I know she is busy in Birmingham with her own life.

“There is definitely an attraction there but it’s maybe just not the right time to get into something serious.”
Adam added: “We probably will date if we keep the communication, we’ve been chatting a couple of times a week, but we are both just busy.”
