Love Island’s Callum takes swipe at ex Jess Gale and insists she was LYING about his ‘unforgivable actions’
Jess took aim at Callum in an exclusive interview with The Sun
LOVE Island star Callum Jones has hit back at his ex-girlfriend Jess Gale’s claims his “unforgivable actions” led to their break up.
The reality hunk and Jess had a huge row at a Boohoo party and it was later revealed Callum had been accused of cheating on her with Islander Anna-May Robey.
He’s kept quiet on the allegations until now but has finally had his say, vehemently denying any wrongdoing.
Appearing on the with co-star Casey O’Gorman, he said: “I’m just going to clear up rumours because I’ve seen podcast clips news articles saying he’s done this, he’s cheated, he’s done this right.
“When we come off the show, we’ve probably seen each other two or three times, right. A couple of weeks after, I was spending time with Casey in London and not really seeing Jess, so we had a conversation – this is prior to all that stuff that was in the papers – these were the words that come out of her mouth: ‘you’re single, I’m single, if you don’t want to speak to me you don’t have to speak to me, let’s take a step back’.
“I said ‘that’s fine. No problem’.
“Basically, we’d called it a day weeks before.”
It’s a stark contrast to Jess’s version of events which saw her describe Callum’s actions as “so bad there is no coming back from it”.
The blonde bombshell exclusively told The Sun: “It didn’t fizzle out, things happened and there was this thing at Molly [Smith’s] clothing event.
“I found out something prior to the event and something that you can’t really come back from.
“We don’t speak now and I guess a line has been drawn under that.
“After certain bits of information came to light, I wouldn’t want to speak to Callum and after that, it was done.”
Jess said she would have preferred to have had a proper conversation with Callum rather than their heated clash in front of party guests.
Jess told us: “I feel like what would have happened is that we would have had a private conversation, but because we had the conversation at the event… I didn’t even put out a statement but there were pictures and people saying they heard us speaking at the event.”
When asked if what Callum did was unforgivable, Jess simply replied: “Yes it is.”
She then appeared to take a swipe at her ex for lapping up female attention since leaving the villa.
When asked if Callum had faked his feelings for her, Jess said: “I don’t think so and I’d like to hope he wasn’t, I think in the villa he was genuine and coming out I don’t think he faked anything.
“He’s not even young, but he’s a typical guy, he was in a relationship for a long time, he’s just come out of that relationship and is getting a lot of attention and wants to enjoy the attention.”
The TV favourite said she was now taking a step back to focus on herself and her career.
She shared: “I honestly feel like when I first came out I was in a bit of a bubble.
“I came out with Callum and it was good but we’re not speaking anymore.
“But I now feel like I’ve stepped away from the bubble and I feel like I’m getting back to myself.

“It is very overwhelming when you first come out and only recently I feel like I’m stepping out of the bubble and getting back to my normal self.”
Jess was also adamant that she would not date another Islander after her experience with Callum.
She went on: “I’m not actively dating, I’m busy with work and busy with myself and travelling. But I’m open.
“I don’t tend to go for Love Islanders, I think after Callum, I don’t want to be with another Islander.”
