BEETLEJUICE Beetlejuice fans have mixed reactions to the sequel film's special effects in a brand new trailer.
Most of the original cast has returned for the second installment of the beloved '80s horror comedy film.
Winona Ryder, 52, is front and center in the latest trailer as she reprises her role as Lydia Deetz.
In the footage, Lydia has since grown up from her teenage days and returned to the haunted house from her childhood.
The Stranger Things actress reunites with her original co-star, Catherine O'Hara, 70, who played Lydia's mother, Delia Deetz.
The Deetz family has grown since the '80s as newcomer Jenna Ortega, 21, joins the cast as Lydia's daughter, Astrid Deetz.
Michael Keaton, 72, is also back in the role of the rambunctious spirit known as Beetlejuice.
Helming the horror comedy once again is director Tim Burton, 65, who brings his signature Gothic and quirky style.
The trailer includes snippets of a falling plane, the Neitherworld Waiting Room, and an airport terminal re-imagined as a dance hall for the undead.
Among the practical effects, Monica Bellucci, who plays Beetlejuice’s wife, appears with stitches across her ghoulish face, a callback to Tim's animated movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas.

"Great make-up and special effects! I’ll never look at Michael Keaton the same way again!" a second fan cheered.
"Thought the BEETLEJUICE 2 trailer looked pretty fun. But there's a quick shot of a plane that reminded me of the CGI in AIR FORCE ONE," another critic mentioned, referring to the Harrison Ford action flick from 1997.
"I'm normally not a sequels gal unless a story warrants one, but this has me SO excited! It actually looks like fun! Also, practical effects for the win," a commentator gushed.
