EastEnders’ Reiss Colwell’s dark secret revealed – and it puts a fan favourite in serious danger
Reiss is caught red-handed by another Walford resident
EASTENDERS’ Reiss Colwell’s dark secret is set to be revealed – and it puts a fan favourite in serious danger.
The character – played by Jonny Freeman – first joined the BBC soap in December 2022 for his aunt Dot Cotton’s funeral.
He soon struck up a relationship with Sonia Fowler and recently, the pair have embarked on an IVF journey to try and have a baby together.
The couple were overjoyed when one of their treatments was a success, but their happiness was sadly short-lived.
In upcoming EastEnders scenes, it’s tense at No.25 as Reiss tries to support Sonia under the disapproving glare of her sister Bianca.
Becoming desperate for money, Reiss tells Kat that she didn’t pay her February tax bill in the hope of securing the funds, but he soon regrets his idea.
Bianca senses something is up after she speaks to Kat and Jay in The Vic, and follows Reiss to the care home where she overhears him asking his wife Debbie for permission to borrow more money.
EastEnders viewers will recall Reiss initially kept Debbie – who suffered a stroke in the bath and is in a coma – a secret from Sonia.
Reiss pales as he realises Bianca has caught him red-handed…
Bianca is horrified by Reiss’ actions and gives him an ultimatum – he needs to tell Sonia or she will.
Will Reiss come clean about his latest secret? And how will Sonia react if he does?
EastEnders fans previously shared their frustrations with the couple’s baby storyline.
Taking to X – formally known as Twitter – one viewer said: “I am so over this Sonia and Reiss storyline.”
Another wrote: “Sonia and Reiss, god, they’re boring. This IVF plot is boring. Ditch it.”
A third penned: “This Sonia and Reiss storyline needs to hurry up and reach some sort of conclusion it’s being going on far too long.”
