CAROL Kirkwood has gone missing from BBC Breakfast after she was flooded with support from fans.
The beloved weather presenter, 61, has been a staple of the flagship since 1997.
While the anchors of BBC Breakfast host on rotation during the week, Carol is a familiar face each day.
However, the star was nowhere to be seen during Friday's edition of the show.
Instead, BBC News' weatherman Matt Taylor brought viewers the latest forecast in her place.
No reason for Carol's sudden disappearance was given by hosts Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty but it was comes after she was flooded with support by fans.

Taking to social media on Thursday, Carol revealed she was so busy behind the scenes prepping for the show she forget to put on makeup.
She wrote: "Yikes..... been so busy have forgotten to do my hair and make up this morning! That will scare the pigeons! Better crack on! 'See' you on telly shortly."
Carol stopped short of sharing a pic of her natural complexion with followers.
Fans showered her with supportive comments as one said: "Don't worry - we like you however you look, in fact sometimes prefer it!"

Carol tied the knot with her toyboy lover last Christmas in a gorgeous intimate ceremony.
Speaking about the big day, she previously said: “It was a tiny wedding but so romantic and intimate. A day we will never forget.
"We are bursting with happiness. It wasn’t a ‘secret’ wedding, just a private one.”
