A CORONATION Street icon has revealed their imminent return to the show after some time away.
The star joined the cast of the ITV soap in 2000 and has become a key fixture.
However, Sue Cleaver, 60, has more recently taken a break from the cobbles to focus on theatre work, namely touring in Sister Act the Musical.
Fans of her character, Eileen Grimshaw, need not worry as Sue will be heading back to the famous street very soon.
Speaking to the star revealed: "I’ve finished Sister Act but I’m missing everybody hugely.
“I had the most wonderful time doing that show – I hadn’t been on stage for 30 years. I just thought ‘I’m going to embrace this, I’m going to do it’.

“Even though I was scared and even though it was the unknown, I thought ‘nope, this is fabulous. Let’s just go for this’ and I did."
Sue added she had the “most amazing time” in the production, but acknowledged “ you’ve got to finish one thing to start the next thing."
Although her Corrie return is imminent, she certainly isn’t ruling out another return to the stage.
She said: "I definitely think I'll do more on stage. The stage is where I started. Theatre’s always been my first love. Now I’ve been back, that’s not going to be my last.

“But I’ll be heading back to Coronation Street soon. I'm having a little holiday and then I will be heading back into Corrie in July so they can see me back there. I will be back."
Meanwhile, Sue also recently opened up about her Type 2 diabetes diagnosis and how she was scared at first.
She previously said: "I always say that I don't live with diabetes, diabetes lives with me. So I live my life as anyone else. I have a busy life and I get on with
Sue added: "When I was first diagnosed, it scared me. Then since I started using Dexcom, it took away all of the guessing, all of the unknown.
“I’ve always had my HbA1c and I’ve always been under a consultant and monitored everything, but it’s just taken a bit of pressure off. I can see what my averages are. I can see what my patterns are. It's taken away a lot of that worry for me."
In January, many labelled the star as unrecognisable after showing her three stone weight loss.
Earlier, Sue had to shut down rumours that she had taken diet gummies to lose the weight.
Taking to Instagram, she informed fans: "I'm really, really sad that I have to actually make this video. I've had quite a lot of messages over the last couple of weeks asking me about Keto gummies.
“There's obviously some scam going around saying that I lost weight using Keto gummies... well it's cr*p. It's a scam.
“And if you've been taken in by it I'm so, so sorry. It's outrageous. I just want you to know that I would never, ever advocate anything like that."
Instead, the actress explained she had cut out alcohol from her diet, having been drinking "loads of wine" during the pandemic.
