The movie looks set to be one of the most horrific to be released in a long time if its star is anything to go by.

Smile 2's trailer has officially dropped ahead of the sequel being released later this year.

However, Kyle Gallner - who has joined the franchise as Joel - was left terrified on set and even threw up.

Speaking about shooting the movie, the actor revealed: “I'm so scared to give any spoilers away. I just — if you love the first movie, you're gonna love this one.

"It's so terrifying. It was the first time I've ever been on a set where I was genuinely afraid, and I actually got sick to my stomach in one take.

“I didn't think I would. I just, it was so gory and so disgusting.”

He added to the Hollywood Reporter how 'shocked' he was over the intensity of filming the horror.

Kyle will star alongside Naomi Scott, Sosie Bacon and Lukas Gage for the second instalment.

The first movie in the franchise was released in 2022 and grossed $217million worldwide.

Its bagged an audience score of 77% on film critique website Rotten Tomatoes.
