CORONATION Street favourite Jack P. Shepherd revealed plans to start years before getting engaged to fiance Hanni Treweek.
The actor - who plays David Platt in the ITV soap - got down on one knee on a romantic safari holiday with influencer Hanni last week.
Jack, who has a daughter Nyla born in 2009, and a son Reuben, born in 2013, from his past relationship with ex-girlfriend Lauren Shippey, previously spoke about extending his family.
Back in 2020, Jack opened up about having kids with his now partner Hanni, but said they were waiting for marriage first.
"We will get married but we’re not engaged yet," he told at the time.
We want to do all those big milestones like marry, have kids and buy a house, we’re just not quite there yet.

‘I didn’t want to scare Hanni off but we did have the discussion about marriage and children early on, as you need to know you want the same things.
While Hanni added: "It was a conversation I needed to have too, as I wanted to check Jack was open to having more children.
"When kids are involved you need to have those serious conversations quite quickly, but we knew early on we wanted to have children together and we were serious about each other."
Jack and Hanni shared their happy news with fans today.

The couple posted pictures of themselves on the safari kissing with the caption: “05.06.24 I said YES to forever!"
The couple spent two weeks in Africa earlier this month visiting Tanzania before flying to Zanzibar for a luxury beach break.
It was while on their safari trip in Serengeti that Jack proposed.
They have been together for six years having met when Hanni worked on the soap in the press office.
She later became a storyliner before quitting to become a fashion influencer.
Actor Jack has played hairdresser David in the soap for 24 years after joining as a child star in 2000.
Over the years David has been involved in many dramatic storylines.
The character almost died when his mum Gail married serial killer Richard Hillman.
In an iconic 2003 scene, Hillman tried to kill himself, Gail, David, David's sister Sarah and her daughter Bethany by driving them into the local canal.
In 2018, David was at the centre of a harrowing storyline that saw him be sexually assaulted by his friend Josh Tucker.

In 2001 he won the Inside Soap Award for Best Young Actor, and in 2007 he won at the same ceremony for Best Bad Boy.
He was also named Villain of the Year at the the British Soap Awards in 2008, and in 2020 he won Best Soap Actor at the TV Choice Awards.
