EASTENDERS fans have been left ecstatic as Phil Mitchell got up to his old ways once again in Walford.
The notorious hardman found himself wielding a baseball bat once again as he got violent in order to protect his family.
His angry display marked a return to the good old Phil of yesteryear - a move praised by EastEnders fans.
In the latest episode of the BBC soap, Phil was seen aiming to protect teen Will Mitchell after learning about the naked photo scandal and the blackmail plot.
Will had sent explicit naked pictures to a boy in his school, Kyle Fletcher, after being tricked into thinking Kyle was a girl that fancied him.
Kyle had begun to demand money from Will and said if not he would report him for sending explicit images at the age of 16.

It forced Will to steal the money from Lola's fundraiser but his grandad, Stevie, discovered the truth in which a blazing row ensured which saw Will leave Stevie for dead.
Learning the truth, Phil decided to protect Will and help him out about the nude photo blackmail plot as well as ensure that no one found out about his part to play in Stevie's hospital dash.
Phil crept up on slimy Kyle with a baseball bat in tow and quickly showed him who was boss in an explosive exchange.
In the scenes, Kyle was left stunned as Phil approached him wielding the bat.

As the young lad asked him "what is this", Phil replied: "This is an angry man with a baseball bat!"
Phil continued: "Now, you have got some money that don't belong to you, ain't ya?"
He soon forced Kyle to hand over the cash before raging at him to destroy the phone.
He made Kyle smash it to pieces before handing over the sim card, containing the pics, to him.
Phil then said: "If you ever go near Will Mitchell again, you ever threaten him again, you see them tiny little pieces?
"That is what I'll personally do to your skull, do you understand me?"
Phil later let Kyle run off and backed Will up in the hospital as questions began to be asked about Stevie's attack.
Commenting on the scenes, one fan said: "Phil making threats with his baseball bat Oh I’ve missed that Phil!"
Before another penned: "Really enjoyed todays Eastenders episode it felt really well balanced. Loved seeing Phil with his trusty baseball bat."
