BST fans left fuming as festival confirms it won’t be showing England’s crunch Euros game on Saturday

Hyde Park will be a Euros-free zone this weekend - even though it's a key game for the England squad

FOOTBALL fans have to prepare to be disappointed if they’re going to British SummerTime festival this weekend – as they’ll be missing out on the Euros.

The annual music festival, held in London’s Hyde Park, will see Robbie Williams headline this Saturday, alongside Seal, Gaz Coombes and Kate Nash.

The concert will clash with England’s essential Euros game against Switzerland

But it will also directly clash with England’s latest game at the Euros – where Gareth Southgate’s team will be fighting for their spot against Switzerland.

The game is key to the team’s success in the Euros, with a win of the final eight clash confirming their spot in the semi-finals.

Kick-off of the game is 5pm in the UK, which will mean ticketholders will have to choose what they would rather watch, as it’s been claimed BST will not be showing the game on screens.

Gates for the event close at 8.30pm, and with the game scheduled to finish until 8pm (extra time not included), fans will be cutting it close if they want to see both.

One fan wrote to the team: “Please show the England game !!! The atmosphere would be unreal !!!”

“CANT BELIEVE YOU ARENT SHOWING THE ENGLAND GAME!” added another.

“they didn’t show it last weekend and you can’t get any signal in there at all to even watch it on your phone!” said a third.

“ohhh gutted. There’s going to be sooooo many people queueing to enter at 8pm,” wrote a fourth.

The Sun has contacted BST representatives for comment and clarification.

The new reports come as England fans have resorted to desperate measures not to miss games while also enjoying this summer’s biggest music events.

Robbie Williams has been a keen player at Soccer Aid for many years

At Glastonbury Festival, which aired last week, Louis Tomlinson bought two TVs and generator just so he could help revellers watch England V Slovakia in the middle of Worthy Farm.

England won 2-1, after a nail-biting 95th minute equaliser by Jude Bellingham, followed by Harry Kane sealing the win 50 seconds into extra time.

BST has been a long-standing summer staple in the heart of London, with four weekends worth of concerts playing out on the Hyde Park stage.

Shania Twain will headline Sunday’s show after her star turn at Glastonbury, with Stevie Nicks, Kylie Minogue and Stray Kids headlining next weekend’s events, rounding off the summer series.
