However, the star has revealed that one of his projects will not be making a return.

Romesh plays the lead character Jonathan and has also helped to write the programme.

He revealed that Avoidance was taking inspiration from a beloved BBC show in how long it would be on air.

Speaking to Tom Davis on his podcast, the comedian said: “Thankfully the commissioners have taken care of that for me.

‘How come you didn’t do a third series of that sitcom?’ ‘Oh cause we just thought the story was told.

"We’re following The Office model – just like two and done’.”'

Famously, The Office only aired for two six-episode series, as well as Christmas specials - which were highly acclaimed.

Even earlier, Fawlty Towers had a similar model, by calling it day after two series and 12 episodes.

Avoidance's cast also includes Jessica Knappett in the role of Jonathan's ex-wife Claire, while series two welcomed in exciting additions to the ensemble.

Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis, who played fan favourite Neville Longbottom, joined the show as a character named Brett.

Meanwhile, Irish comic and actress Aisling Bea took on the role of Megan for the later episodes.

Further newcomers to the cast included Louise Ford, Olivia Tennant, Alex Ranganathan, Paula Wilcox and Michael Spicer.

Away from acting, Romesh has also appeared in Sky's light entertainment comedy series Rob & Romesh Vs…, since 2019.

This format sees Romesh and fellow comedian Rob Beckett meet people from the worlds of sport and entertainment, while trying to learn new skills.

In doing so, the pair are being coached by professionals and experts in those areas.
