AN ACCLAIMED drama with an A-list cast has landed on Netflix, despite initially bombing at the box office.
Our Friend was made in 2021, and it stars the likes of Casey Affleck and Dakota Johnson.
Jason Segel is another star name in the leading cast, alongside other Hollywood elite names such as Wednesday star Gwendoline Christie.
Denée Benton from The Gilded Age and Succession star Cherry Jones also had minor roles.
Making the film was a seemingly expensive feat, with a budget of over $10 million.
But at the time of the initial release in 2021, the film grossed less than one million dollars at the box office.

Although, many speculate this could be due to the pandemic, when fans were only just getting back into cinemas.
Despite this, the movie has also received widespread critical acclaim, particularly from enthusiastic fans.
According to movie review website Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a glowing audience score of 95%.
However, new life is set to be injected into the movie after it landed on Netflix on Thursday (July 18).

Fans in the US will only be able to rent the film via Amazon Prime and various other services.

The story was based specifically on an article written in , written by a friend of the husband who helped a family during his wife's cancer battle.
Moviegoers lauded the project for addressing death in a different way than many would usually see in the public eye.
