Good Morning Britain regular gives health update after being rushed to intensive care for emergency surgery
The broadcaster has been keeping fans updated via social media
A GOOD Morning Britain star has issued an update after being rushed to hospital earlier this week.
Iain Dale, 62, revealed he had been admitted into A&E after experiencing an "acute pain" on the right side of his chest.

The political commentator took to X and updated fans on his condition.
He wrote: "No sign of gallstones but gall bladder infected and inflamed.
"Decision on op put off until we see if antibiotics work.
"Hope to be discharged tomorrow, but won’t be at full capacity for some time, I’m told.

"Renewed thanks for all the kind comments and to the wonderful people who have been caring for me."
He is a familiar face on to Good Morning Britain viewers, offering early-morning commentary on the day's political stories alongside host Susanna Reid.
Iain went to intensive care, where he awaited an operation to remove his gall bladder.
In an earlier update, he thanked his social media followers for their support.

The broadcaster added: "I went to A&E last night at 9pm with acute pain on the right hand side of my chest.
"I am now in intensive care awaiting an operation to remove my gall bladder.

"Not ideal. In fact, it’s a nightmare.
"NHS care at Tunbridge Wells hospital is so far outstanding."
It comes as the long-standing LBC presenter also had to be rushed to hospital last year.
While at Charing Cross Underground station last May, he tripped at the top of an escalator.
Later revealing his injuries, Iain explained he'd sustained a "badly broken" hip and had undergone an operation.
He wrote on X at the time: "I was taken by ambulance to St Thomas’s. I have a badly broken hip.
"Replacement op scheduled for Monday. Superb care from all here.
