Boyband star revealed as latest name to sign for Strictly Come Dancing
This Morning teased a 'big sparkly reveal' of not one but TWO celebs
JLS singer JB Gill is the third celebrity officially announced for Strictly Come Dancing.
X Factor finalist JB, 39, joined presenters Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle on ITV‘s This Morning for the big reveal.
Josie and Craig teased clues throughout the show, saying there would be a “big sparkly reveal” with, not one, but TWO celebs unveiled.
Earlier in the show, blind comedian Chris McCausland was confirmed as the first Strictly contestant after The Sun exclusively revealed he was set to join the cast over the weekend.
JB’s clue showed somebody pouring water into an X Factor-branded coffee mug.
Josie told viewers: “We can reveal that the second celebrity taking part in this year’s Strictly is JB Gill.”
The One Shot hitmaker said: “I danced in the Strictly Christmas special over a decade ago and loved it, so when I got the call to join Strictly this year, it was an immediate yes from me.
“I’m raring to go to and looking forward to showing off some new skills to the JLS boys.
“From muddy wellies on the fields of my farm to sequins and Glitterballs – I’m here to embrace it all!”
JB danced with Ola Jordan in the 2012 festive instalment.
STRICTLY SCANDAL
In recent weeks, Ola came under fire for ‘bullying’ Steve Backshall during their time as one of the show’s pairs.
Steve, 51, reportedly complained to the BBC in 2014 about his show partner, 41, claiming he found the practice sessions gruelling and difficult to endure.
Following his complaint, he and Ola were assigned a chaperone after he refused to be alone with the Polish dancer, reported.
The programme’s bosses intervened after Steve alleged that her “rude and impatient” manner had undermined his confidence.
JB is set to join celebs including ex-footie ace Paul Merson, 56, and DIY SOS’s Nick Knowles, 61, in Strictly’s line-up.
Team GB star Tom Dean let slip he was the first Strictly contestant hours after winning Olympic gold, as he confirmed The Sun’s story.
