CORONATION Street fans are stunned by Claire Sweeney’s transformation as Cassie Plummer glams up.

The actress is known her own glam style rarely being seen without full hair and make-up and a stunning wardrobe.

But in the ITV soap, Claire’s character Cassie has always been distinctly stripped back.

She rarely appears in make-up and wears her hair scraped back into a bun.

There’s also no sign of any dresses or clothing that isn’t jeans, a hoody or some overalls.

However that all changed tonight when Cassie underwent a surprise makeover - and emerged looking like Claire herself.

Viewers watched as Cassie thought she was asked out on a date by Steve McDonald and quickly transformed herself.

A fresh-blow dry, a nice top and a denim skirt - as well as a full face of make-up - made Cassie look every bit as glamorous as actress Claire is off-screen.

And fans were stunned at her transformation.

One wrote: "Cassie is dressed as Claire Sweeney."
