And it is mostly thanks to his long-running relationship with Netflix, with whom he and dad Michael made hit show Travels With My Father.

Jack has now amassed £11.4million with just Peter Kay, Stephen Merchant and Ricky Gervais ahead of him.

A TV source said: “There is no stopping Jack. Even becoming a dad hasn’t slowed down his earnings — and the commissions keep coming.

“He remains hugely likeable, and crucially his comedy appeals to advertisers as it’s safe and clean.

“Leaning on the relationship he has with his grouchy dad Michael and fun-loving mum Hilary has helped take him from laddy topics to more relatable ones, too. It’s hard to see a time when Jack won’t be popular.”

Bolton comic Peter leads the pack with £34.6m, Stephen is on £26.2m and Ricky has £25.8m, according to most recent filings.

Jack’s projects last year included his stand-up tour Settle Down, which became a Netflix special, and sci-fi romantic comedy Robots.

The newly filed accounts at Companies House show his firm, Jackpot Productions, grew its shareholders’ fund to £11,420,635 from £9,585,293 the previous year.

Festive special

And the accounts also show Jack having “cash at bank” of £4.4million.

His riches are set to soar further after his dad Michael revealed in June that Netflix looks likely to hand them a second series of Fatherhood With My Father, which debuts next month.

RYLAN CLARK could be hair to the throne as he slips a crown over his new salt-and pepper locks.

But the TV star, who joined Josie Gibson to host ITV’s This Morning yesterday, was actually meeting four of the 12 hunky hopefuls bidding to win the Mr England title later this month.

The finalists, chosen for their good looks and their brains, were there to chat about the competition and make a last appeal for votes.

Among the contestants this year are a King’s Guard, a professional wrestler and a bodybuilder.

But, ultimately, it was Rylan with his new silver highlights who triumphed as he was presented with his own sash and crown for being the first ever Mr Ry-land.

Better luck next time, boys.

STEPS’ Ian ‘H’ Watkins has performed in front of arenas full of fans – but he says appearing on Celebrity MasterChef was way scarier.

The pop singer admits that coming face to face with hosts Gregg Wallace and John Torode had his nerves through the roof.

Ahead of the new series, starting tonight on BBC One, he said: “The MasterChef kitchen is intimidating. I’m used to performing in the O2 Arena – I can do that with my eyes closed. Ask me to boil an egg in front of John and Gregg and I fall to pieces!”

Discussing his reasons for competing alongside fellow celebs Charlotte Crosby, Edith Bowman, Craig Doyle and Snoochie Shy, he said: “I am known by my friends and family for not being able to cook!

“I wanted to develop a skill I could involve my children and family with going forward.”

Olly: My mum is made up

HE’S one of five young lads pursuing their dreams in Made In Korea: The K-Pop Experience – but Olly Quinn has revealed he is following in his mum’s footsteps.

In the series, which begins on BBC One on Saturday at 5.15pm, he and members of the group Dear Alice jet to Seoul for an intensive 100 days of K-Pop training. But Olly has revealed that his mother made the same journey in her younger days.

He explained: “Mum always wanted me in a boy band. She put me in the bonniest baby competition in Sunderland, and I won. From there, it spiralled into singing, acting and dancing.

“Mum was a dancer and a model. She went to Korea at the same age I am to dance and tour, but I think it was harder to pursue for her, being from the North-East and not having as much support or financial freedom.

“She’s given me that part of her, and I’m carrying the torch for her.”

NEW BBC Two comedy We Might Regret This promises to portray disability in a new light. Its creator Kyla Harris, who plays tetraplegic artist Freya in the show, which begins at 10pm on Monday, said: “We wanted to make a series that really challenges disabled stereotypes.”
