Coronation Street’s Kit Green ‘rumbled’ by unexpected resident in Nathan twist
The dodgy cop has made a big mistake - and someone's onto him
KIT Green has settled into his new life in Weatherfield after getting Nathan Curtis locked up, but is he on the verge of being exposed?
The character – played by former Hollyoaks actor Jacob Roberts – debuted earlier this year as the long-lost son of Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove), who was given up for adoption.
Kit has now officially make the move to Coronation Street by taking up Glenda’s (Jodie Prenger) old room at the Rovers.
As he makes himself at home, the police officer flirts with Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) – could a new romance be about to blossom?
Kit also harbors deep resentment towards his biological mother for abandoning him during his childhood and is now attempting to turn her other children, Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul Foreman (Peter Ash), against her.
Kit crossed the line as a police officer by getting Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) sent to prison for the murder of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
Kit planted Lauren’s DNA in Nathan’s van and framed him, while it later transpired that Lauren was still alive.
But next week, Kit will deny planting Lauren’s DNA in his van.
And Sarah urges Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) to convince her daughter Bethany (Lucy Fallon) to abandon her campaign against Nathan.
Daniel confides in Daisy that he doesn’t trust Kit and feels uneasy about Nathan’s conviction.
Will he uncover the truth?
Meanwhile, some Corrie fans believe Jacob’s character isn’t the real Kit Green at all.
On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one viewer theorised: “I don’t think Kit is Bernie’s son, I think he has stolen the identity of his housemate.”
Another suggested: “Maybe her [Bernie] son was adopted by Kit’s mother, and got treated better than Kit.”
A third chimed in: “Maybe her [Bernie] son was adopted by Kit’s mother, and got treated better than Kit,”
Agreeing, a fellow viewer said: “I thought that something was not right about him, definitely a twist to it.”
While yet another commented: “Maybe had another brother who was adopted by Kit’s adoptive parents and is seeking vengeance for him?”
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
