NETFLIX fans are furious as Army of the Dead's sequel movies and TV shows have been quietly axed.
The original film - directed and co-written by Zack Snyder - made its debut on the streaming platform in May 2021.
Its unique premise followed a group of mercenaries planning a Las Vegas casino heist during a zombie apocalypse.
However, hope for more Army of the Dead sequels or TV shows has been dashed.
Zack and wife Deborah, who is also his producing partner, told that a planned animated series and sequel films had been quietly cancelled.
On X, one user wrote: "Netflix has cancelled the animated series & planned sequel to Army of the Dead (Planet of the Dead). Zack says he's now working on a 'smaller' film."

Another added: "This is really sad to me. I loved Army of the Dead and Army of Thieves and wanted more."
Originally, there had been expansive plans for several follow-ups and spin-offs.
One of which, a prequel titled Army of Thieves, was released in 2021.
The filmmaker said: “We are very ambitious with everything.”
