The trio took to social media to share glimpses of their day together.

Gethin Jones posted a heartwarming update on Instagram, sharing snaps of their adventures in the Lake District.

He wrote, "Perfect few days with these gems! We walked, talked, swam, paddled, ate, drank, ate, ran, swam, played football, rugby and some other games that haven’t been named yet!"

In one photo the show hosts could be seen donning life jackets in preparation for a boat trip.

Another showed them sitting in a kayak gearing up for a morning out on the lake.

Helen's daughter Elsie could be seen riding on Gethin's shoulders in one of the pictures.

She previously told Hello! that she has made it her mission to encourage her kids to spend time in nature.

Helen added: "I think there are so many benefits to spending time outside so I really hope my children grow up loving life outdoors.

"I am lucky that at the minute I can drag them up a fell and long may that continue.";

Several fans flocked to the comments on Gethin's post to share how much the images warmed their hearts.

Morning Live fans shocked as Gethin Jones reveals secret hidden talent as BBC show remains off air

One person gushed: "Our 3 favourite people plus the kids. Hope you all enjoyed your day."

Another joked: "Looks fantastic with your two TV wives!"

Morning Live has been off air temporarily due to the BBC’s scheduling changes during the summer months.

The break allows the hosts and crew some much-needed downtime before the show returns to its regular slot.

While fans eagerly await its return, the hosts are using this break to recharge and reconnect.
