AJ goes the extra style
AJ Odudu may be hosting a new ITV series all about clothes – but she had her share of fashion struggles.
The TV star – who joins Vernon Kay to host M&S: Dress The Nation, where designer hopefuls battle it out for a store contract – admits she has sometimes put herself through hell wearing clothes that are too tight.
AJ said: “Red carpets are my fashion hell, but the outfits have me in a chokehold.
“I insist on wearing the sample size and the material may be scratching me, but as long as I look snatched, that’s the main thing. It’s a no pain, no gain policy.
“I went to a premiere and I got a two-piece, which was yellow and chequered. It was giving off Clueless meets Bananaman. What was I thinking?”
- M&S: Dress The Nation airs from September 17 at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
