THE cast and crew of one of ITV's biggest shows have been forced to hit back against disgruntled fans after the programme failed to air in the UK.
The Bay, set in Morecambe, has been a roaring success for ITV with five seasons now having been created.
ITV first launched the show in 2019 but as part of an international deal, a very controversial decision regarding the current fifth series of the drama.
In a surprising move, ITV secured a big-money partnership deal with BritBox in the US and Canada to launch the fifth series of The Bay overseas first.
It sees the show marketed as a BritBox original as a result of it having its first-run on the streaming site Stateside.
But as UK fans have begun to realise that they are falling further behind the show after it launched in the US, The Bay's cast and crew have been forced to break their silence and re-assure UK fans amid an onslaught of messages.

Show star Daniel Ryan has now clapped back amid concerns that the show may never make it to air in the UK.
He insisted that it would eventually air on ITV but admitted that no one had seemingly been told as to when that would happen.
Amid the backlash and furore, he said: “Of course Series 5 of The Bay will be shown on UK terrestrial ITV but we don’t have a date yet. I will be most vocal about it when we do.”
The show's writer also commented on the programme's lack of airing in the UK as he clarified on social media that the decision was nothing to do with him.
Daragh Carville said: “Not my decision, I'm afraid!”
The Bay is not alone with many ITV dramas having also premiered in the US before the UK.
Recent episodes of Midsomer Murders as well as the last series of Grantchester all made their debuts on US TV.
