A source said: “Sophie Rundle will be back as Ada - she’s already filming on set and has been spotted staying in the same hotel a lot of the cast, including newcomer Tim Roth, have been staying.

"She’s only just had a baby but the movie wouldn’t be complete without her character.”

Netflix have been approached for comment.

Peaky has been an attractive prospect for acting heavyweights after finding a big audience on the BBC.

Sophie and Matt met on set of BBC thriller Bodyguard and sparked rumours they'd secretly tied the knot in 2021.

The actress most recently starred in ITV crime thriller After the Flood, in which she played pregnant police officer Joanna Marshall.

At the time she joked it had put her off getting pregnant again - because of wearing a fake bump for filming.

Sophie said at the time: "I am now pregnant in real life.
