Blow for Bear Grylls after his annual Gone Wild festival racks up £750,000 worth of debt
The festival began in Devon in 2021.
TV presenter Bear Grylls’ annual festival has racked up £750,000 of debt.
The survival expert and partners have pumped nearly £1million into Gone Wild Events Ltd — which handles finances behind the family event.
Documents seen by The Sun on Sunday show Bear put £280,000 into the business last year.
More cash was needed this year although the amount is not confirmed.
The festival began in Devon in 2021.
A Norfolk site was added this year.
Sam Ryder, McFly and Reef have all performed.
Bear, 50, is confident the business will survive.
He said: “I did help the team a few years back.
“Since then the Gone Wild community has truly risen to the challenge and this year was amazing.
"We’re back into a positive situation and are set to expand.”
