MAFS UK star and her mum were arrested for assault & banned from pubs as fuming viewers insist ‘they shouldn’t be on TV’
A MARRIED At First Sight UK star’s mum and sister who appeared in this series have been slammed as “local bullies” - and were once arrested for assault.
Maxine Martin and her daughter Paige have sparked outrage among locals after they appeared on the E4 show at bride Lacey’s wedding.
Stunned residents from their local area were left fuming when they spotted twins Lacey and Paige, 27, and "wild" Maxine, 58, on their screens, saying it made their “blood boil”.
In 2016, Maxine was arrested and Paige faced £250 in costs for assaulting a woman, with both incidents happening on the same day.
Sources have also claimed that Maxine has been barred from several pubs in the area.
One said: “Maxine has been barred from pubs around Cheshunt for fighting and bullying.

“She’s known for kicking off after a few drinks.
“Lacey was the nicest one out of the three, but her twin Paige, and her mum Maxine are totally different.
“Seeing them on the show has shocked people who know them from the area and know how awful they have been going back years.”
Another added: “We can’t believe they're on telly. People need to know the true Maxine and Paige and what they put people through.”
The Sun has contacted E4 for comment.
Maxine recently came under fire from MAFS UK fans over her treatment of Lacey's groom Nathan.
She was branded the "mother in law from hell" after she told Nathan that she "fancied" him and suggested swapping places with her daughter.
She was criticised again when she appeared in another episode with Paige, when Lacey brought her groom home to meet the family.
Maxine refused to accept Nathan was vegan and took a number of swipes at him.
Nathan and Lacey were seen marrying in a fairytale ceremony, with Paige as their bridesmaid, and the couple have so far been going strong on the E4 show.
Twins Paige and Lacey have also appeared on ITV2's Dressed To Impress.
They described themselves as "IVF miracle twins".
Model and opera singer Paige has amassed a social media following and has posted a raft of bikini shots and glamorous selfies online.
Earlier this year she revealed she had quit drinking and said: "I have been SOBER exactly 365 days today.
"I decided to become sober as I didn’t like how I felt when I was drinking.

"I would lose myself and lose self control the anxiety the next day would cripple over me, and I wouldn’t want to see anyone or do anything.
"It made me feel so much worse after drinking I decided I’m better off not drinking and more happy being sober."
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn't keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam's Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out - and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
"While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna's vegan lifestyle, the show's first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: "We're not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship."
