The star recently described how he was left with "tightness in my chest" and "pins and needles in my left arm", before being raced to hospital where it was revealed he had one artery which was fully blocked and another was nearly blocked, putting him at serious risk.

It meant Jezza was forced to undergo emergency surgery and has since been recuperating at his Oxfordshire farm and home.

Now, his close pal and co-star Kaleb Cooper has shared a fresh update on the star's current condition.

Appearing on the Capital FM Breakfast show with Jordan North, Sian Welby and Chris Stark, the star addressed Jeremy's health woes for the first time.

Host Sian asked him: "We've obviously all seen the news today about him being unwell at the minute. Have you been checking in and seeing if he’s alright?”

Kaleb then admitted he had been there for him every day and insisted he was doing "alright".

He told the breakfast radio show: “Yeah, yeah. I’m there every day. I mean, I’m at the far every day, or we’ll text every day or, you know, I’ll go in for a cup of tea every day.

“Yeah, he’s doing alright. He’s doing alright, he’s doing good.”

Jeremy first revealed in his Sunday Times column that an ambulance had rushed him to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital where tests ruled out a heart attack.

The Sun columnist said he was alerted to changes in his health while on holiday after he struggled to walk up the stairs following an "attempt" at swimming.

Recalling Alex Salmond's recent fatal heart attack, Jeremy immediately sought medical advice when he returned to the UK.

After news of his recent illness became public, Jeremy told The Sun earlier this week: “I’m very grateful to everyone who sent supportive messages but I’m fine.

“I just have to not do any manual labour or dishwasher emptying for the next four years.

“At least I think that’s what the doctor said.”

  • Jeremy takes over the day-to-day running of the newly renamed Diddly Squat Farm.

Series 2

  • This series sees Jeremy look for ways to increase the farm's revenue.
  • One such example is bringing in a herd of cows although this isn't without its issues.
  • Jeremy also had the idea to convert the abandoned lambing barn into a restaurant where he could sell his meat from the farm.
  • For this plan to move forward, he had to get planning permission from the local council.
  • Viewers also meet Pepper, a heifer among the herd who ultimately becomes the star's favourite.

Series 3

  • The third series contained some of the show's most emotional moments to date.
  • In heartbreaking scenes, dozens of newborn piglets died as a result of overlaying - their mother rolling on to them.
  • Jeremy said goodbye to his favourite pig - the Baroness - after she developed cancer and needed to be put down.
  • Dry stonewall expert and "head of security" Gerald Cooper was diagnosed with cancer.
