First look at Death In Paradise’s new inspector after Ralf Little quit hit BBC show
The actor is excited for fans to see what’s in store
NEW Death In Paradise star Don Gilet has been pictured for the first time as the show’s lead detective, Mervin Wilson.
The former EastEnder makes his debut in the BBC One crime thriller this Christmas in a special feature-length episode.
And it’s all change in the fashion department, too, as Mervin will be solving crimes in a bucket hat – a refreshing change from predecessor DI Neville Parker, played by Ralf Little, whose trademark attire was a woolly tie, check shirt and blazer.
Don’s excited for fans to see what’s in store.
He says: “I am delighted to be stepping into the shoes of the Detective Inspector.
“It’s been a real pleasure filming alongside the hardworking cast and crew.
“I can’t wait for the fans to see how DI Mervin Wilson fares on the island, and what secrets may unfold.”
While assisting with a case after a short trip, the team discover Mervin may have an ulterior motive for being on the island.
Once again, it’s time to expect the unexpected.
