MAFS UK feud explodes as Amy shares private messages with show star and SLAMS her as a ‘liar’ in row over Adam
The E4 series may have concluded for another year, but that hasn't stopped the drama from spilling offscreen.
ANOTHER MAFS UK feud has exploded after Amy Victoria shared private messages with Polly Sellman and slammed her as a ‘liar’ in a row over Adam Nightingale.
The E4 series may have concluded for another year, but that hasn’t stopped the drama from spilling offscreen.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Amy shared WhatsApps from a fiery row with Polly, accusing her of spreading false rumours about a connection with Adam during partner swap week.
Amy, who insists that her relationship with Adam was purely platonic, took to social media to expose Polly’s alleged hypocrisy.
Screenshots revealed Polly had previously defended Amy in private conversations but later appeared to fuel rumours about a potential affair during filming.
Amy told fans: “Proof that the rumours Polly’s fueling aren’t true,” and followed up with a string of screenshots attempting to clarify her stance,” as she exposed their texts.
In one exchange, Amy expressed her frustration, writing:
“I always said to you I’d rather you of told me anything you saw that was putting me in detriment, and you did.
“Screenshot this f*****g convo and put it on ur story.”
The feud escalated when Amy uncovered a comment supporting accusations of inappropriate behavior, which Polly appeared to like.
She said: “Sorry but Amy is not a girls’ girl, the little comments and looks to Adam—something is definitely going on or happened between them.
“@polly_sellman don’t know how you kept so cool with her, well done you!”
Polly defended herself in response, claiming: “I genuinely haven’t meant to like that as I deleted it as well. I must’ve skimmed past and liked, but it’s deleted anyway.
“Please don’t seriously let that make you think I agree with anything anyone’s saying when I’m deleting and defending as much as I can.”
She continued: “I’m trying to delete them about you as they come through, but I’m away, so it’s hard to keep on it. I’ll be with you next Thursday though, if you’re going to the London press thing???
“Can actually f*****g shut everyone up with these c***y rumours that are doing my head in.”
Amy didn’t hold back, calling Polly out directly and sharing her disbelief over the ongoing drama.
She wrote: “Are you fucking s******g me? Saying I shagged Adam on partner swap week? Are you actually OK?”
She concluded her post by addressing the speculation for fans, writing: “For everyone asking if me and Polly are friends… We WERE until she started making up rumours that me and @adam.nightingale.19g0 were anything more than friends on partner swap week.
“Very interesting seeing her fuel b******t rumours about us on her live when she sent me this a few days ago.”
Adam’s marriage to Polly came to a dramatic end in episodes aired this week after she branded her groom a “c***” and launched a glass of red wine at him.
Their relationship was rocky from the start after he almost immediately confessed he wasn’t attracted to Polly.
Despite this, fans were left baffled when the former couple chose to stay in the experiment during each commitment ceremony.
They later insisted it’s because Adam had his eye on Amy.
Adam and Amy were paired together during partner swap week and were seen shopping for lingerie together.
At the time, fans couldn’t help but notice Adam “had never looked happier” while on the show.
This week, they also appeared very close in snaps on social media, with one showing him pretending to propose to her.
And viewers thought there is much more to the story.
Writing on Reddit, one said: “With Adam and Amy seemingly flaunting their ‘close friendship’ all over social media, I reckon something must have happened on wife swap week other than sharing a bed – especially with all the lingerie and sex toys shopping.
“Can’t help but think Adam continued to write ‘stay’ to secretly get closer to Amy, especially as she said she was close friends with him (and Polly) and always in their apartment.
“Otherwise there was literally no need to stay to the end after constantly voicing his dislike (attraction and friendship) to Polly.”
Fans were previously left convinced Amy had feelings for Adam amid her disastrous marriage to Luke Debono.
In the penultimate episode of the series, the remaining newlyweds had gathered together for the last dinner party.
Before they sat around the table, Amy quietly told Polly that Adam had suggested she “model some underwear” during partner swap week.
One wrote on social media: “Is it just me or does it look like Amy is absolutely loving telling Polly about Adam’s comments?”
Another added: “So. Do we think Amy fancies a bit of Adam and is trying to sabotage??”
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
