ALAN Carr will be tickling funny bones as he tests his grey matter on Celebrity Traitors.
His signing will thrill fans, as the beloved comedian has topped fan wishlists for the star-spangled whodunnit since it was first announced by the BBC.
Alan is in final talks to join fellow Stephen Fry in Claudia Winkleman’s castle next year.
It will be his first ever reality TV gig.
A source said: “Alan is an absolute national treasure and will be an incredible contestant - he’ll make great telly as well as being a top player.
“Bosses are thrilled at the kind of scenes that could play out as he grapples with the more sensible names on the line-up as well as him giggling away with pals like Jennifer.
More on The Traitors
“He has been one of viewers’ dream signings since the idea of a celebrity version was first floated so everyone is thrilled talks are in final stages.”
Alan will join other stars so far revealed by The Sun including Tom Daley, Clare Balding, Daisy May Cooper and her brother Charlie and journalist Robert Peston.
The show, which is due to be filmed next year, will see the "Faithfuls" try to work out who the “Traitors” are among them.
The second series of The Traitors - featuring civilian players - attracted up to four million viewers a night, with more watching it on catch-up.

A third series will launch in January.
A BBC spokesperson said: “The Traitors is a game that includes lies and deception, thus it would be foolhardy for any Faithful to speculate before the game has begun.”
