The I'm A Celeb star quit the BBC earlier this year

JORDAN North hinted at a shock "feud" with his former BBC Radio 1 bosses as he took a brutal swipe at the show on live TV.

It came as the DJ joined his fellow Capital Breakfast presenters Sian Welby, 38, and Chris Stark, 37, for a banter-filled stint on Saturday Kitchen.

Jordan, 34, quit the station back in February after a whopping 10 years at the BBC.

The Sun then exclusively revealed his big money deal to join the Capital Breakfast team days later.

The I’m A Celebrity star replaced Roman Kemp on the slot in a huge coup for the commercial radio station.

During his chat on the weekly foodie show, which is broadcast live on BBC One, he joined his co-stars to big up their show.

Jordan said: "We are really proud that we represent the whole of the UK."

With a cheeky smile he added: "Since we started in April, the figures have gone up, so we have done alright."

Host Matt Tebbutt, 50, asked about the listenership and Jordan said: "It's nearly half a million we have added on.

"We are beating Radio 1 on younger audiences as well," before Sian let out a cheer.

As Chris started to speak, Jordan winked again before putting his hands around his mouth as he shouted: "We are beating Radio 1!"

As the panel giggled, Matt - who was cooking up a kipper dish - said: "Did you leave on good terms?"

Jordan waved his hand in the air and said: "We're fine, we're fine," before he shouted again: "We're beating them!"

ALL CHANGE

Back in February, insiders told The Sun how Jordan had informed his bosses of his decision with the Beeb understandably upset at him leaving.

A source said: “Jordan is moving to Capital FM to replace Roman and he could not be more excited.

“It is absolutely huge for him and although it’s hard to leave the BBC he is excited to get started on Capital.

“Jordan’s decision has been a hard pill to swallow for the BBC but there was nothing they could do to change his mind."

A statement released by the BBC then said: "Radio 1 will be saying goodbye to Jordan North.

"Jordan has been behind some of the most hilarious and entertaining moments on air over the years, and has been a constant source of inspiration for younger presenters.

"Thank you for everything."

Jordan's first major radio show was Greatest Hits on Sundays.

He then joined the Radio 1 Drivetime show alongside Vick Hope in 2021.

“Jordan has been an amazing presenter and a valued colleague at Radio 1, and I’m so proud of his journey with us," the statement at the time read.

"He has always connected with the Radio 1 audience through his shows and projects, as witnessed by the huge amount of money raised for Comic Relief during his rowing trip from London to Burnley.”
