EastEnders set to air TWO Christmas Day episodes for the first time since 2008
EASTENDERS is set to have TWO Christmas Day episodes for the first time since 2008.
The BBC has yet to confirm the schedules for over the Christmas and New Year period but eagle-eyed fans have spotted the schedule has been added to EPGs (electronic programme guides).
And they could be in for a treat - two of them.
Instead of the soap just having one special episode to watch, this year there are set to be two chances to watch.
The first episode will air at 7.25pm on BBC One, and then viewers will face an agonising three hour wait until the second.
It will air post-watershed at 10.30pm according to the EPG details.

It comes as soap bosses teased Christmas in Walford with a hug storyline twist coming.
Cindy Beale’s affair with her former stepson Junior is set to be exposed in explosive fashion.
The teaser reads: “Secrets and lies are set to throw a wrecking ball into the Beale family festivities this year as the shocking truth about Cindy is revealed in spectacular fashion on Christmas Day.
“The incriminating evidence captured on tape will expose Cindy’s true love for ex-husband George and her scandalous affair with his son, Junior. Cindy has nowhere to hide as all hell breaks loose in the Beale and Knight families, with fury and accusations flying on all sides.
