Our Yorkshire Farm’s Reuben Owen jets out of the UK for new Channel 5 spin-off show
The pair embark on a trip to a Swedish mining town in the Arctic Circle
OUR Yorkshire Farm’s Reuben Owen is jetting out of the UK for an exciting new Channel 5 spin-off show.
Fans were thrilled to hear off the news and flocked to social media to express their joy.
Reuben is reuniting with his best friend Tommy in a new channel 5 show called Reuben Owen: Christmas in the Dales.
His younger brothers, Sid and Miles will also make an appearance in the one off Christmas special.
Airing on Wednesday night, the show sees Tommy and Reuben taking part in a series of exciting adventures in Sweden.
Fans were thrilled with the news and flocked to social media to make their feelings known.
One wrote: “Love seeing Reuben as he matures and with his lovely friendship with Tommy. Missed their input in the recent show.”
Another added: “Can’t wait, lovely to see them all back together.”
While a third said: “Can’t wait to watch it.”
“Absolutely wonderful, we will be tuning in. Reuben is a very hardworking young man; he has an amazing work ethos, just like his parents. Miles is as tall as Reuben now, all grown up.” added another fan.
The show’s synopsis reads: “Reuben plans a festive gathering for friends and family at their local spot to express gratitude for their support of his heavy plant machinery business.
“Before the preparations, Reuben and Tommy take his new snowmobile for a spin through a field filled with sheep and also embark on a trip to a Swedish mining town in the Arctic Circle for some end-of-year work,” reports
Rueben and Tommy were last seen together in the fan favourite series Reuben Owen: Life in the Dales.
Reuben’s ex-girlfriend, Sarah Dow, also appeared in the programme.
During one of the episodes that aired in May, Tommy got candid about possibly swapping Reuben’s digging business for a full-time gig driving HGV lorries.
Reuben was worried he might never see him again and confided his fears to Sarah.
“Maybe,” Sarah simply replied.
Later in the programme, as they all enjoyed a cup of tea, Tommy talked again about his plans.
“Are we going to lose you any time soon then?” Reuben asked his friend.
Tommy explained that he hadn’t even booked his test yet.
Reuben asked: “When you pass, will you do a couple of days with me, a couple of days with Neil, or…?”
“Yeah,” Tommy went on. “I obviously want to drive a wagon, but I’ll still help you now and again.”
Reuben Owen: Christmas in the Dales airs on Wednesday at 9pm on Channel 5.
