LITTLE Britian star Matt Lucas was told off by BBC Breakfast veteran Naga on this morning’s programme.

Matt Lucas may have thought he’d have an easy morning on the famous red sofa but not long after his interview started he found himself in hot water.

But Naga was quick to shut Matt down

They had started off talking about his move in Children’s books with Matt quipping: “Well, I thought if Walliams can do it, anyone can” talking about his comedy pal, and hugely successful author, David Walliams.

Host Naga was asking if there was an level of competition between the two before Matt declared that David Walliams was: “The king” and that he “Gave very good advice too”.

It was at this point that the former Bake Off star broke one of the golden rules of being on the BBC show.

He reached for a copy of his new book and held it up in front of his face saying: “This book is a bit different. This is the Boy Who Slept Through Christmas.”

At that point Naga interjected into the blatant visual plug, saying: “you’re not allowed to do that.”

BBC co-host Charlie Stayt joked: ‘You come on here, and you’re breaking the rules already. David Walliams wouldn’t do that, you know? He knows the rules.”

Before the interview was over Matt was scolded yet again as he cheekily tried to promote his new book once more.

In between keeping the comedian in check, presenters Naga and Charlie tried as hard as they could to squeeze out any information about a potential Walliams – Lucas reunion.

Naga asked: “when will we see you two together again?” to which Matt temptingly replied “you know what, we’ve got something coming very very soon.”

The revelation caused the BBC journalists to push for more details and despite Matt saying “I could tell you but I’d have to kill you” they started a guessing game of what the project might be.

That seemed to be as much as Matt would say and he just smirked and left with with the comment “The good thing is we’re doing something we’re very excited about and it’s going to start, I believe, next month.”

Earlier this year David revealed he and Matt are working together again and plan to develop all new characters for a fresh comedy show.
