A cosy ITV daytime talkshow is the place you’d expect a world famous rockstar like Coldplay’s Chris Martin to gategrash, but that’s exactly what happened during an episode of Loose Women.

During the show’s 25 hour talkathon, in celebration of 25 years on air, host Coleen Nolan, told how the Coldplay frontman came into the studio and gave her a special gift.

Appearing on ITV'S Good Morning Britain this morning having pulled an all nighter with the talkathon, Richard Arnold asked Coleen, “Tell us about that impressive piece of bling around your neck, this is the A-lister gift.”

Coleen then replied:  “I thought you’d never ask. Chris Martin came into the studio, it wasn’t even my section, I was on a half an hour break at this point, but I went straight back into the studio and said “move up love and I sat next to him.”

“He came with all these gifts that he had in his pocket and I thought “oh he hasn’t got anything for me.” “Then he took the one he was wearing and put it around my neck. I am never going to wash my neck again.”

Then the 59-year-old revealed how Chris has told her that he writes down his feelings during the day. “He writes all his feelings down and gets them all out of his system, then he can carry on with his day and go to sleep at night, but he writes everything down.”

Coldplay’s Chris Martin was also joined by chef Jamie Oliver as he joined the panel for the show’s first ever 25 hour Talkathon, to urge the nation to “get talking” about mental health issues.

The event which started on Thursday 5th December, concluded on Friday December 6th was created as part of Loose Women’s 25th birthday celebrations, in collaboration with the Britain Get Talking campaign, which has sparked over 200 million conversations thus far.

On Thursday evening the panel was hosted by regular Loose Women presenter Charlene White, who announced she had some surprise celebrity guests - before coming back into the studio with Chris Martin and chef Jamie Oliver.

Then First thing on Friday morning, Loose Woman panellist Coleen Nolan, who’d been up through the night, swapped studios to join fellow ITV Daytime show Good Morning Britain, as hosts Rob Rinder and Kate Garraway, quizzed her about her meeting with Britain’s biggest rockstar.

Responding to Kate asking “You must be shattered?” Coleen joked: “I actually don’t know where I am. I am so tired but I am so happy to see fresh faces!"
