Emmerdale viewers are convinced fan favourite character will be ‘killed off’ and vow to ‘stop watching’
EMMERDALE fans are convinced a popular character in the show is set to be “killed off”.
Viewers have even vowed to “stop watching” if the legendary character is axed.
It is thought the character Ross Barton will be involved in a shocking murder twist in the Dales, despite him making an epic comeback.
Michael Parr, who plays thug Ross in the ITV soap - made his return in an explosive storyline back in October, after six years away.
Over the years, Ross has been a part of several key storylines on the soap.
His tumultuous relationships have always been front and centre - whether it was with Donna Windsor (Verity Rushworth), Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) or Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) - fans were hooked.

His first relationship sadly ended when Donna took her own life, when she fell off the roof of a car park.
Ross was left absolutely devastated by her death and struggled to cope.
He later began a secret affair with Debbie Dingle, who was engaged to his brother Pete at the time.
This ended when it was revealed that Ross had a one night stand with Debbie’s mother, Charity, conceiving baby Moses.
One of his final plots also saw him fall victim to an acid attack.
In 2018, Michael announced he would be leaving the soap, much to his fans’ dismay.
Thankfully, Ross made an epic comeback this year as a gang member of an underground fighting club.
The most recent drama sees him embroiled with boss Jade (Twinnie-Lee Moore) who assumes cash stolen from her was taken by Ross and goes to extreme lengths to get it back.
As the plot thickens, fans now think the soap is setting us up for a dramatic murder twist with Ross.
One person wrote on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page: “What is the plan for Ross? Are the villagers planning to kill him?”
