Hollywood star unrecognisable 22 years after iconic movie with Britney Spears as she’s spotted in Palm Springs
AN ACTRESS who starred alongside Britney Spears in the 2002 hit film Crossroads looked unrecognisable as she stepped out in Palm Springs.
The 46-year-old headed to a Christmas party on Thursday night with a unique style that was hard to miss.
For Taryn Manning, also known for starring in Orange Is The New Black, it seems blonde is the new brunette.
With a mopped dusty blonde wig under a cowboy hat, and large glasses covering her face, Taryn donned a white puffer jacket with a fur hood with long grey shorts and mustard yellow suede boots.
The star strolled down the street clutching a green drink in her hand.
Her night out comes the same day it was announced Taryn is set to join the all-star cast of new drama, Out Come The Wolves, portraying a mother who is resentful for having her child.

The film is partly inspired by Rancid’s 1995 punk rock album of the same name, and will also star Better Call Saul’s Giancarlo Esposito, Lost’s Harold Perrineau and Sons of Anarchy’s Ryan Hurst.
Taryn has starred in a string of cult favourites, starting her career in TV series Get Real alongside Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg in 1999.
After that, she appeared in the beloved road trip movie Crossroads with Britney Spears and Zoe Saldana in 2002, and Eminem’s movie 8 Mile in the same year.
She remained an avid supporter of Britney throughout the icon’s fight to end her suffocating conservatorship, calling her former co-star a “wonderful woman” who should get “the dignity she deserves and earned”.
Most prominently, she became the breakout star of Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black, which ran from 2013 to 2019.
She played the troubled Pennsatucky, real name Tiffany Doggett, who tries to turn her life around after shooting a woman who disrespected her at an abortion clinic.
She later apologised for the video and took it down, saying in a statement: "I pride myself on being an ethical and kind person.
"I know what I did was wrong, but the heart makes you do crazy things sometimes".

She added: "I am sorry for exposing my situation; I am not sorry for for how I love. I hope to find somebody who cherishes me the way I adore them. A healthy type of love.
"A love that isn't so blind that it forces me to be somebody I'm not. This was a huge learning lesson for me."
